The plan guides you to the most spectacular and authentic locations, as well as past the crystal-clear beaches that have been voted some of the best in Europe year after year. In the itinerary, we have selected a handful of our favorite hikes, including the classic and iconic ones that are a must-see! We have also included our personal favorites that will take you away from other tourists and onto adventures you won't soon forget.

To make it as easy as possible to use the itinerary and experience Lofoten, we have compiled all hikes, unique accommodations, viewpoints, dining options, beaches, shopping opportunities, and campsites into a Google Maps map, to which you will have exclusive access. Here, you will find everything mentioned in the itinerary, as well as even more locations. This way, you can have full control over where everything is located.

Day 1: Arrival in Lofoten
Welcome to Lofoten! You will arrive in Svolvær in the afternoon, where a van will be waiting for you. After a brief introduction to the van, you will have the opportunity to begin your adventure and head towards your first unique accommodation.
Day 2: The Beginning of an Adventurous Journey
The morning will greet you with soothing sounds of waves and breathtaking views. The day will be dedicated to exploring some of Lofoten's most iconic sites, and you'll have the chance to hike towards a spectacular peak that rewards you with a 360-degree view of Lofoten and the Norwegian Sea. This is personally one of our favorite hikes, so you can look forward to an unforgettable experience! Additionally, you will pass by a beach that has been voted Europe's best on multiple occasions.
Day 3: A World-Class Hike
Get ready for one of the most iconic hikes in Lofoten, offering a view that is truly a must-see! After this adventurous experience, you can stroll through the iconic streets of Reine and visit Å, the southernmost village in Lofoten. Enjoy the evening at an idyllic and carefully selected campsite by the water, where you will have the opportunity to take a shower and relax in the sauna.
Day 4: Visit the iconic fishing villages
Today, you will pass through one of the oldest and most charming fishing villages. Nusfjord will enchant you with its authentic atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, enveloping you in true Lofoten charm. After this experience, you'll drive along the spectacular Valbergveien, which is an adventure in itself. The day concludes in Henningsvær, where a magical evening awaits you. Remember to use our Google Maps map along the way—it will guide you to some unique places worth stopping at during your journey.
Dag 5: Lofotens Hawaii
Today’s itinerary includes a short ferry ride to Lofoten's answer to Hawaii. The island spans about 2.5 square kilometers and is home to around 200 permanent residents. Here, you will have the opportunity to rent kayaks and explore the breathtaking surroundings on the water, or you can embark on a hike up to the island's only mountain and enjoy the spectacular views of the island and the surrounding area. We know of a unique place out there where you can spend the night and truly soak in the one-of-a-kind atmosphere!
Day 6: Complete the adventure
On your last day, you will return to the mainland to drop off the van and complete your unforgettable Lofoten road trip!
