Start the year with an extraordinary retreat in Lofoten! Our winter retreat brings together adventurous women looking to share unforgettable experiences in the most spectacular surroundings. The adventure is led by Fie, our Lofoten expert, who knows the islands' hidden gems and unique spots. In collaboration with Lofoten Apartments, she has crafted a retreat you won’t soon forget.

During this 5-day retreat, we will start our days with yoga, enjoying the views of beautiful, pastel-colored sunrises alongside our yoga instructor, Fredrikke. We will explore Lofoten's magical landscapes, take walks through the stunning winter scenery, find inner peace, and end our days with Arctic sauna sessions and refreshing dips in the sea, hopefully under the dancing Northern Lights.

We will be staying at Lofoten Apartments, where hosts Fredrikke and Erik will pamper us with three daily meals and create an atmosphere of true Nordic coziness. We will overnight in comfortable accommodations, surrounded by the magnificent views that Lofoten is known for. Accommodation will be in double rooms, shared with another participant.

Please note that the price is listed in DKK, and the registration deadline is January 5, 2025. A deposit of 5,500 DKK is required upon registration to secure your spot on the trip. The remaining balance is due by the registration deadline on January 5, 2025. The trip will proceed with a minimum of 6 participants, so we recommend not booking flights until the trip is confirmed.

Type of adventure

This retreat is designed to accommodate everyone, regardless of previous experience with yoga or hiking. The trip is a unique opportunity for both beginners and experienced participants to immerse themselves in a relaxing yet active experience in nature. The yoga sessions will be tailored to all levels, and our hikes are planned so that everyone can participate, regardless of fitness or experience. The retreat is all about finding peace, creating balance, and connecting with nature.

Physical form

You are not required to be in peak physical condition, but you should be able to participate in moderate physical activities such as hiking and yoga. The hikes will vary in difficulty, but we will go at a relaxed pace so that everyone can keep up. One of the hikes will take us to the top of a mountain, making that day more physically demanding. The yoga sessions are adapted for all levels, and our focus will be on both physical and mental well-being. 

Transport to Lofoten

We recommend flying round-trip to Svolvær Airport, as there will be a shared pick-up to Lofoten Apartments from there. 

Arrival & departure

Check-in at Lofoten Apartments is from 15.00, and the welcome dinner takes place at 18.00. We arrange a combined pick-up from Svolvær Airport based on the flight departures (information to follow). Check-out takes place around 10.00, after which there will be transport to Svolvær Airport.

Day 1: Arrival at Lofoten Apartments
On our first day, we will be warmly welcomed by our hosts, Fredrikke and Erik, who will have delicious afternoon snacks and an inviting welcome dinner ready for us. The evening will be spent getting to know each other and settling into the cozy surroundings. Check-in at Lofoten Apartments is from 3:00 PM, and the welcome dinner will be at 7:00 PM, so there will be an opportunity to arrive during this time.
Day 2: Exploring the Winter Wonderland
We will start the day by welcoming the sun with a relaxing yoga session led by our yoga instructor, Fredrikke. After yoga, we'll enjoy a hearty breakfast, after which we’ll lace up our hiking boots and set out on a beautiful hike through the magical winter landscapes. In the afternoon, we will return to a time of calm and immersion, where there will be time to read a good book, sip tea, coffee, or hot cocoa, and simply enjoy each other's company. The evening will conclude with a delicious dinner, followed by time in the sauna for everyone to enjoy.
Day 3: World-Class Views
The day starts again with a yoga session led by Fredrikke, after which we set off on an adventure. We drive to the iconic Haukland Beach, known for its white sand and turquoise waters. Here, we will take a beautiful walk along Gammelveien and perhaps take a dip in the lovely beach. After that, we will head to FURU, where we will light a fire and enjoy the sauna located by the most wonderful fjord. There will be a sauna session and the opportunity to dip into a hole in the ice. The evening concludes with a delicious dinner lovingly prepared by our amazing hosts, Fredrikke and Erik.
Day 4: Henningsvær
We soon know the morning routine. The day begins again with a yoga session, after which we embark on a small local adventure. We will visit Henningsvær, one of Lofoten’s most charming fishing villages, known for its unique charm and atmosphere. Here, we can explore everything from cozy restaurants and cafés to small, authentic local shops. Later in the day, we will again offer the opportunity to relax and unwind with good conversations over tea, coffee, or hot cocoa. After dinner, our sauna master will join us for an hour of Arctic sauna, where we’ll invite refreshing dips in the sea. Hopefully, we'll also see the Northern Lights dancing above us.
Day 5: Farewell to Lofoten
After enjoying breakfast together, it’s time to say goodbye and check out from Lofoten Apartments around 10 AM.

What you see, is what you get
After many self-arranged trips, this year we decided to take advantage of some convenient local expertise.
